Compliance Manager & Legal Advisor
John joined 2IP in July 2025 as Compliance Manager. He is responsible for ensuring the firm’s ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by overseeing the development, implementation and monitoring of all compliance-related frameworks, procedures and controls. His role focuses on managing regulatory risk and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
John holds a BA Law with Industrial Psychology and an LLB from North-West University, completed in 2020 and 2022 respectively. He began his legal career at Mostert & Bosman Attorneys and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in January 2026.
In pursuit of his ongoing professional development, John has completed two virtual experience programmes. The first, through Bowmans in 2023, focused on general finance and security in loan facilities. The second, through Baker McKenzie in 2024, centred on dispute resolution and litigation, developing skills in case strategy, dispute assessment and client interaction within litigation contexts.
